The Setup

Here's a little background on me:

I was one of 12 semifinalists selected for the prestigious ABC/DGA Directing Fellowship.
I was awarded the inaugural WOMEN IN FILM/General Motors Alliance Latina New Filmmaker Grant.
I'm an Illinois Arts Council MEDIA ARTIST FELLOWSHIP Award winner.
My first 35mm short film, MAMA SAID, enjoyed a 2-year film festival run where it won an Audience Award. It was also nominated for Best Theatrical Short Film at the 21st Annual Imagen Awards. Both PBS and SiTV acquired MAMA SAID for broadcast.
I was selected as GenArt's FILMMAKER IN FOCUS after award–winning playwright Adam Rapp hand-selected MAMA SAID to open the advance screening of his debut feature film, WINTER PASSING, starring Will Ferrell and Ed Harris.
I directed and produced a Dove spec commercial, FEELING DIVINE, which was selected as fourth place semifinalist in Dove's inaugural commercial ad contest.
